JewelTasks ("we", "our", "the platform") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using JewelTasks you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information — name, email address, phone number, password (stored securely hashed), location and preferred language.
• Profile information — skills, work experience, education, certificates, projects, expected salary, resume and profile photo (all optional beyond the basics).
• Company information (employers) — company name, business type, GST number, addresses, logo and HR contact details.
• Identity documents — Aadhaar or PAN details are strictly optional and receive extra protection (see Section 4).
• Usage information — jobs viewed, searches, applications and device/browser information used to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and operate your account and profile.
• To match job seekers with relevant jobs and employers with relevant candidates.
• To send notifications you have chosen (application updates, messages, job alerts).
• To verify companies and keep the platform safe from fraud.
• To process employer subscription payments (via our payment partner).
• To improve the product and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Who Can See Your Information

• You control your profile visibility: Public, Employers only or Private.
• Your phone number, email and resume are shown only according to your privacy settings.
• Employers see your application details only for jobs you apply to.
• We never publicly display Aadhaar, PAN or other identity documents.

4. Sensitive Documents

Identity documents (Aadhaar, PAN), certificates and resumes are stored in private, access-controlled storage. They are served only through time-limited secure links, only to people you have authorized. Providing Aadhaar or PAN is always optional.

5. Payments

Employer subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We never store your card number, CVV or banking passwords. We keep only the transaction records needed for invoices and support.

6. Data Security

• Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing.
• Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
• Access to personal data is restricted and logged.
• Uploaded files are validated and scanned before storage.

7. Your Rights

• View and edit your profile information at any time.
• Download or request a copy of your data.
• Delete your account and personal data (some records may be retained where the law requires).
• Control which notifications you receive.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your language and theme. We do not use invasive advertising trackers.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
